Nandorin

This is the language of the Nandor, the Elves who refused to cross the Misty Mountains and settled down in the forests along the Anduin valley. There are so many differences between Nandorin and Sindarin that the Nandor and the Sindar can hardly understand each other. Nandorin was spoken in Lorien and in the realm of Thranduil in the north of Mirkwood. Just before the end of the Third Age, this language went out of fashion and gave way to Sindarin. Even the authentically Nandorin names, Caras-Galadhon, Nimrodhel, Amroth have been strongly influenced by the Sindarin name patterns.
